GAC Turkey provides the full range of shipping agency services to
tanker, liner, general cargo, bulk and cruise vessels calling at all
Turkish ports. As well as handling the documentation and liaison with local authorities, GAC staff take care of crew changes, supplies of water and provisions, onboard medical emergencies, and the receipt and clearing of spares. Staff will also arrange appropriately qualified technicians if the need arises. The Turkish terminal of Ceyhan is a discharge point for oil piped in from Iraq. Like Atas, Aliaga, Ambarli, Derince and Tutunciftlik, it is also the site of an import terminal for crude or petroleum products. GAC staff assist tankers calling at all these terminals. As agent for one of the world ’s major container lines, GAC pursues high standards of reliability and efficiency in its container services. GAC staff handle containers at warehouses, arrange local pre-carriage and on-carriage loading and discharging as well as stuffing and unstuffing. GAC Turkey also handles vessels delivering humanitarian aid supplies on behalf of the United Nations ’World Food Program to recipient countries in nearby regions. |
